Success Stories

Hi,

I work for fortune brands, a leading American consumer company with interests in Liquor, Home and Hardware and Golf. I am responsible for leading their home and hardware brand Moen for the India. Prior to this I was with Samsung where I was campus placed, I led the hospitality segment and was responsible for account management in their National Sales Team.

Writing an illustrious story is though difficult, but when it comes to giving credit for success I would give it to vision. Vision is what changes perspective. Every college offers an education which would be same books same syllabi, but the differentiating factor is the perspective.

I came to Western International University after 2 years of work experience; I felt the need to understand why and how's of business from every angle : Finance, Marketing, Human Capital. I had done an extensive research for selecting a program. Every College was the same they offered the same courses, the difference lay in execution of the program: The Perspective.

I chose WIU over other programs because of the global perspective it offered with an Indian touch. Especially, in times when the world is looking at India and want managers to be able to relate to their processes and adapt their companies to the Indian perspective.

The difference I feel the education made to me was phenomenal, with faculty who taught not only the subject but added value by citing and relating to real corporate issues. The program was designed in such a way that a sense of responsibility penetrated that I actually took charge of my career.

Today when I look back I give due credit to my college for giving me a perspective of a learning. Learning is finding out what you already know.
