Success Stories

My name is Sonia Singh. I graduated from high school in 2005. I will be graduating from Western International University in 2008. In the course of my career I have pursued 4 internships with different companies all of which have enabled me to grow as a professional and gain certain skills that can not be learnt without real world experience. Out of these the best has been the internship that I am currently pursuing with Ernst & Young .The placement cell at Western International University helped me fix up an interview with Ernst & Young, and have on several occasional provided me with the guidance I needed in order to make important career decisions.

At Ernst & Young, I am currently working in the markets department. I am part of the core ‘Entrepreneur of the Year Award’ team. This is an award that takes place within 50 countries and 135 cities worldwide. My team and I are working for the event in India. My job requires me to understand different people, persuasion skills, research skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Western International University has incredibly supportive staff and faculty members. W.I.U’s concept is primarily focused on learning in and outside the classroom. The faculty members constantly provide us with research work, assignments, projects and presentations which help in making undergraduate study interesting and ensure that learning goes well beyond what can be learnt via a text book. They have helped me develop into a more confident individual who can readily take on the challenges of the corporate world. Lastly, I would like to thank W.I.U for providing me with the abilities and skill set needed to excel in my future endeavors.
